This post is a little late, but I kinda like these so here they are. These were all taken when Emily and I went downtown to watch the fireworks on the 3rd. This year I tried something different and shot everything pretty tight with my zoom lens, looking for something more abstract. I like how they turned out.

Just for good measure, here’s what I would call a regular old firework shot.
I prefer the top three. Abstracting things a bit gets the viewer engaged trying to put together the entire picture. Texturally, they are also more interesting.
