I started out at 4:30 A.M. on Saturday with a plan to arrive at Potawatomi State Park (map) in Sturgeon Bay by sunrise, and I just made it. The first place I headed, was up the tower.
That’s where this was made. Seven shots with a 50mm lens, stitched together with Photoshop.
After I descended from the tower I went on an HDR binge. The above four are all 5 shot HDR’s.
This is my favorite shot of Autumn trees.
Here’s an ‘A’ shaped cave for you Brian.
From there I went 30 miles up the coast to Peninsula State Park. I climbed another tower and walked around, but didn’t take any pictures worth showing anyone.
A short 18 miles father up the road, just shy of the very tip of the peninsula is Newport State Park. I was there twice on Saturday. The first time, I walked around for about an hour and a half, but like that last park, I didn’t take any good pictures. It just wasn’t a good time of day to be there. By this time I was hungry and ended up driving 20 miles back to find something to eat. Fast food doesn’t seen to exist north of Sturgeon Bay, so I finally settled on a gas station sandwich.
After eating, I drove back to Newport State Park because I wanted to get some pictures of the above rock after sunset, so I could use a slower shutter speed to blur the water. I arrived back at the park around 4 P.M. So, instead of walking around for two and a half hours, I took an hour nap in the pickup (a first for me). Around 5 P.M. I headed out. Along the way I took the above shots.
This is where I wanted to be, but since I had time to kill I took some pictures of myself. When it finally did start to get dark, I began to worry about finding my way back through the woods. I had a light with me, and probably would have managed just fine, had I stayed. After taking ten or so pictures of myself, I started walking back, never getting the picture I wanted… but I did spend more than an hour tonight trying to make it look like I was being lit by a glowing hole in the rock, not my flash.

I like this.
In regards to that ‘A’: can you go back and take that same photo with my cell phone? Otherwise I think my instructor will know it’s not mine. I need it before tomorrow evening.
In regards to my comment: can you go back and a question mark after my first sentence? When I wrote that I hadn’t gotten to the part in my English book about punctuation. Now I feel :/ 8=>
It has been done. [comment modification complete]
