I drove up to Manitowoc today, and from there I headed north following the shore of Lake Michigan. I spent most of my time photographing the waves, which crashed against the shore frequently and intensely. Above, is a wave crashing against the shore in Manitowoc.
A couple miles north of Manitowoc… I used a neutral density filter to show my shutter speed down to two seconds to get some motion blur in the waves. Despite it’s appearance, this was taken around noon today.
A few more miles north, more white caps.
The waves crashing in Two Rivers, WI. (It’s also a poorly executed animated GIF if you click on it)
The Rawley Point Lighthouse in Point Beach State Forest. At 111 ft, it’s the tallest one on the great lakes.
And then I drove home.

Wonderful!
